Garden Design

We specialise in creating lush bio-diverse garden design systems which offer much greater ecological, economic and nutritional value than conventional gardens.

Our designs mimic natural forest systems in that we select and grow a diverse range of edible, medicinal and support plant species as they would grow in the wild but in a more concentrated garden space.

We also incorporate biochar and organic mulching systems to enhance soil fertility.

ABOUT US

family photo

We are a small Whangārei-based family business passionate about nature and gardens. We take great pride in our work providing eco-garden design and consultation services to help build food security and sustainability.

Gardens provide a much needed natural sanctuary for busy people living in a modern artificial world. Our mission is to minimise our environmental footprint and help homeowners and community groups unlock and enhance the ecological and food-producing potential of their gardens.

Our 'wild' gardening approach is a fusion of our mixed family heritage blending Japanese Shizen Nōhō (Natural Farming) philosophy with Māori and Pacific Island ecological values.

Through our work in maintaining and creating more environmentally-friendly self-sufficient gardens, we hope to help in a small way in restoring the natural balance of the Earths ecosystem.
